This is a very special wine collection in every sense of the word. It is a white wine made with Viognier grapes from vineyards planted in one of the hardest areas of our property, “Mas d’El Porrerà”. Then we mix these grapes with Grenache, Piquepoule, Macabeo and Escanyavelles (literally “Old Lady Choker”) from our plots.
This limited production wine of no more than 800 bottles per vintage is in remembrance of and pays tribute to the Catalan poet, Miquel Martí i Pol, a friend of ours since we founded the winery.
The name “Aigua de Llum” means “Water of Light” and is a fragment of a poem called Solstici (Solstice):
"A day will come when someone will drink with hands full
the water of light which bubbles up from the stones
of these new times which we are now shaping."
Every year the winery organises “Terra i Cultura” (“Land and Culture”) which awards the Miquel Martí i Pol prize in remembrance of the special relationship this poet has shared with the winery.
