Crushed rose petal, savory herbs, mint, chalk, sweet red cherry, sweet tobacco and pine give the 2018 a brilliant aromatic upper register, while bright acids lend a palpable sense of energy. Readers will find a focused, ethereal red with striking translucence that shares some similarities with wines such as Carema that have a similar alpine character."

"The nose of the 2018 Arbois Poulsard is quite expressive and agreeable for such a young wine. Tasted from a large oak vat, the wine had finished fermentation and malolactic and will be ready to be bottled after the spring. This is bright and lively, expressive, aromatic and open, quite elegant, with some tannins. They picked a little early, and the wine is somewhat herbaceous."
