"The pale 2021 Chardonnay Malans Unique is clear, pure and fresh on the precise and savory nose that shows white and pale yellow fruit aromas intertwined with stony notes. Pure, fresh and juicy on the palate, with fine tannins intermingling with saline acidity, this is an elegant but straight, firm and tensioned, very mineral Unique Chardonnay with a long, intense and saline finish and lemony notes on the aftertaste. This is a very young but great Swiss white with enormous aging capacity. 13% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in Malans, February 2023."

"Sattes, undurchdringliches Rubin mit kräftigem Violettton. Satte Nase, sehr intensiv nach Tabak, dicht und tiefgründig, dann nach Brombeeren und Heidelbeeren, im Hintergrund erdig und würzig, vielschichtig. Schlägt am Gaumen ein Pfauenrad, viel dunkelbeerige Frucht, öffnet sich mit vielen Schichten von dichtem Tannin, baut sich lange auf, satter Druck, im Finale wie mit einem Nachbrenner."

"The 2013 Masseto boasts striking inner perfume and sweetness. Pliant and expressive at the outset, the 2013 starts to shut down quickly with time in bottle, which is probably a good thing for the long term. A host of dark red cherry, plum, mocha and licorice build in the glass, but structurally the wine is quite reticent. Historically, Massetos from cooler, late-ripening vintages have developed gracefully in bottle. I expect that to be the case here as well."
